Environmental Impact Assessments

Environmental reviews and opinions for projects and plans as part of the decision-making process in the planning institutions, which include environmental analysis and the statutory and physical background to the project, analysis of alternatives, environmental effects and possible nuisances, and recommendations to minimize the nuisances.

Soil and Water Contamination

Consultation and supervision of projects for the investigation and rehabilitation of contaminated soils. Historical surveys, planning, treatment, and rehabilitation of contaminated sites. Accompanying projects that focus on soil and groundwater pollution. Analysis of the impact and size of pollutants in the soil and groundwater and more.

Ecology and Natural Values

Examining the ecological aspects, the natural values, and the open spaces in the plan’s areas and its surroundings to preserve the open spaces, flora, and fauna and reduce damage to protected natural values during and after the development. Conducting surveys of trees, surveys of birds, programs for preserving natural values, etc.

Air Pollution

Environmental forecasting regarding meteorology, pollutant, and odors emissions into the air. Prediction of pollutant dispersion and prediction of air quality in residential areas affected by roads and industrial pollution. The prediction is made using existing monitoring data, meteorological analysis, and accepted models for air pollutants dispersion.

Public Health

Reference to public health in projects, plans, or policies due to the potential for contamination and its health consequences in the population. The work on the subject is done in cooperation with entities in Israel and abroad that deal with epidemiology and systematic assessments on the subject.

The Adama office integrates sustainability principles into all types of environmental planning. In sustainable planning, all the environmental disciplines appear in the context of reducing negative effects over time.

Noise and Vibrations

Acoustics and vibrations are part of all human development. They are a limiting factor for residential and employment areas – environmental forecasting is carried out by measuring the existing acoustic situation, evaluating the noise generators, and computer forecasting through the programming of future acoustic energy acceptability.

Infrastructure and Energy Projects

Global recognition of the climate crisis has caused a wave of initiatives on diverse energy development issues. In general, energy facilities of all types require a detailed environmental forecast. We deal in renewable energy of the following types – photovoltaic fields of various sizes, wind turbines, energy storage in batteries.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Using geographic information systems is an integral part of most of the projects planned in the office. The data entered into the ArcGIS software is managed, analyzed, and edited according to the project’s needs.

Seismic Risks

The Israeli standard SI 413, the standard for the resistance of buildings to earthquakes, requires that the engineering solution of a building be adapted to the level of seismic risk on the site. Since the date of issuance of the building permit is usually too late to consider the seismic risks.

Waste and Landfills

Investigation, characterization, and restoration of waste sites using various tools such as geophysics, drilling, biogas monitoring and leachates and more. A unique method used in our office is a thermal scan, with which you can map the temperatures on the surface of the waste site and locate points of biogas emission.

Sea and Beaches

In the shallow coastal area – planning bathing beaches while accounting for the expected rise in sea level, sand movements, coastal cliff disintegration, planning development centers on the beach for recreation and vacationing needs, detached breakwaters to create bathing areas, and appropriate beach width. Review of nature values in shallow rocky areas near the coast to reduce anthropogenic effects.
